Cancellation Policy

We will send a text reminder early on the morning of the appointment [ except laser treatments, which require a 24 hour cancellation and will be texted one day in advance of the appointment].
You will have the option to confirm by text or by telephone by midday on the day of the appointment . Confirmation is required otherwise the computer system will automatically cancel your appointment.

Punctuality & Courtesy

As a courtesy to other clients following your appointment, late arrivals will result in a reduction of treatment time. Please do not ask the impossible, we will endeavour to carry out what we can within the time slot allocated, or suggest a re-booking. All times stated include preparation of room and client: ie 5 minutes at the beginning and end of treatment.

Mobile Phones
Please switch off mobile phones before & during your visit to the salon.

We are aware that many of you may be confused as to which treatment best suites your specific requirements. We are of course, pleased to offer you up-to-date information and advice with a complimentary consultation in the strictest of confidence. Please allow 10 minutes prior to your first appointment for a consultation with our fully qualified Beauty Therapists.

Salon Hygiene is, of course, the utmost importance and to achieve optimal cleanliness all our sterilisation equipment is approved by the local Environmental Health Officer. We only use new sterilised disposable needles for each client.

Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers can either be brought in multiples of £5.00 or for specific treatments. They are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and can be used on any beauty treatments or products at Chequers Salon. There is no cash redemption.

Official Stockists

Chequers is a Select Salon and are officially appointed stockists of Nailtiques, St Tropez, GHD, Shellac & Vinylux, Lycon Wax and La La Lashes, LVL, Fudge, American Crew.

Most Credit Cards are acceptable, cash & Debit cards. No cheques. All prices include value added tax at a current rate. VAT Reg: 524 8515 43.

General Treatment Advice – Very Important Information

Food – Always allow at least 1 hour to digest your meals before having treatments.

Alcohol – Never consume alcohol before any treatment.

Medical Conditions – If you have any of the following it is essential to tell your therarapist before your treatment as some electrical treatments are prohibited if you suffer from these conditions:

• Pacemaker
• Heart Condition
• Diabetes
• Allergies
• Epilepsy
• Contact Lenses
• Pregnancy
• Metal Plates / Pins / Coil

Do not have heat treatments or undertake exercise (eg sauna, sunbed, Jacuzzi, workout, or swim etc.) Less than 8 hours before or 24 hours after your wax. Avoid wearing “Best” underwear for Bikini wax. Avoid normal deodorants after under arm wax. We can supply you with sensitive deodorants to use 3 days after your wax.

Treatment Refund Policy
Please note, before you exit the salon we strongly advise you to check thoroughly over your treatment, and if the need should arise please voice your concerns or any dissatisfaction so that the problem can be rectified immediately and/or we offer professional advice.

By paying for the treatment you are indicating that you are happy and satisfied.
In view of the nature of the business, we operate a strict no refund policy.
Once you exit the salon we will not accept any further responsibility for the paid treatment.
